You probably have seen some movies whose adaptation are from child hood comics, or tales told in the past. Now time and time again, These stories are re-told and sometimes with little variation but the truth is the outcome remains thesame. If the good guy won in the comic book, then the good guy should win in the adaptation. At least, that's what people want to see. Picture this, as a kid you grew up watching Marvel's The Avengers cartoons, reading comics and know all the abilities and powers of your favourite super heroes and villains. You've seen all the episodes and about everything there is to see and know about this cartoon characters and years later, you probably have a family now and one studio wakes up one morning and they like, lets do a film about The Hulk for instance. They succeed, months later the film is out, adverts are buzzing and you decide to hit the cinema.

Ok, thirty minutes into the film or so, you get hulk struggling with Iron man or say Captain America is giving him a hard time in a fight. This is annoying guys and it's totally not cool at all. This is not what you certainly want to see in the cinema and that's not why you there. Why are you there? Because you want to see The Hulk go head to head with the likes of Abomination or Thor. Beta ray bill, Red Hulk or somebody in that class. Not U.S marines or police officers. Not that I'm saying that this happened but you get the idea. I think the problem why this kind of thing occurs a lot of the time with adapted movies essentially is because, the people who interpret this stories or comics are either not die hard fans or they don't really understand how to shoot an action flick. Anybody can use a gun when thought how to. But not everybody is ordinarily skillful about it's use. Skill will take a bit more time to understand.
So if you are naturally a romantic kind of person and are drafted to cook up a story for an action adventure having a lot of fight scenes and action flicks like the John woo films or the ones having actors like Jet lee and Donnie Yen, chances are the film will fail. Why? well because, you do not have the experience for that kind of job. And there is always this thing about people and egos at working places. All these you'll have to manage, but how can you achieve that when you don't even know what there is to manage in the first place.
This logic applies to everything in life. You might not be the best in the business when you set out to achieve your aim, but you have some in- depth knowledge of whatever it is that you are doing. Bringing the best together to work with of for you at that time is just like polish or "the icing on the cake" if you will.
Relating this to Animations, you can only animate what ever it is you understand and wont go beyond it unless you learn to understand the processes involved in getting the job done. Some people think Animation is a trial and error thing, well i think not and i beg to differ because you don't know what you don't know.
Now you see why i'm not happy, in the first you see The Hulk vs Red Hulk, then Captain America vs Hulk and Hulk Vs Very Big angry and hungry Lions. Any of these adversaries will destroy the captain.
