Every where in the world or almost everywhere in the world, 3d animation has found a way into their entertainment culture. But in Africa, the rates an ratios of engagement is less and this is owing to a number of factors.
Well, the good news is setting up or investing in an Animation Studio here in Africa, Nigeria is actually a profitable venture and will most likely cost much less right now. If you have money and are thinking of investing in an Animation Studio, YES, this is the place to be. It would come slow, so i'm not guaranteeing fast Box office breaks but i know that there are a lot of stories here that are untold that people want to hear. People are yearning waiting and want to know what Africa is capable of. If you don't understand what i'm saying or have the least of doubt then you probably should check out our music industry. Nollywood alone attracts an impressive estimated annual revenue of $590M and Nollywood kicked off in the early nineties.
This is 3D we are talking about now. In this field, anything can happen and Nollywood hasn't fully tapped into 5% of what the 3D industry has to offer. There are no Robots or space aliens in our films, you wont find large explosions or bridges collapsing. No terminators or Transformers and it still sells this much.Now think about having a 3D studio incorporated in our everyday Nigerian movies, spicing it up. picture an African like Matrix or Thor film, yeah that's what i'm talking about. So you see, it actually is a win win all round. The first people to get into the market here in Nigeria will have the advantage. If any other person is thinking of taking over then that person has to be dang good. So, this actually is the time to get your act together and start investing here in Lagos, Nigeria and Africa.

Not quite there but i know in a very short time, we will. Why? we are Nigerians. It's what we do. We appreciate, study and get very good. And this is no hype.
We are quite in tune with what is happening in the world right now and some of us will break down events that will make you like "hey, this guy is FBI". But the awareness for animations is not there, because there really is no animation presence maybe until now.
